PRINCESS
Franz Bauer
On her album Princess (2022), St. Monika explores the prevailing nihilism of the current era while simultaneously encouraging listeners to reclaim their own inner sovereignty — to become their “very own Princess.” The album invites audiences to catch moments of beauty and color within the storms of recent years, affirming that beauty remains truth, even in times of pain.
For Princess, she received the Silver Global Music Award and the Silver REMI Award.
In a similar spirit, her debut album Lioness (2020) was conceived as a sonic reflection of our time. The A-side unfolds as loud, raw, and disruptive, symbolizing collapse, transformation, and the painful birth of a new era. After reaching a climax, the B-side moves toward reorganization — a reassembling of chaos that bridges past and future, heart and reason, spirit and matter. The album ultimately gestures toward a meaningful symbiosis between ecology and technology, envisioned for future generations.

LOVE BOMB
Love Bomb, the forthcoming album by St. Monika, is inspired by a letter attributed to Albert Einstein in which love is described as the most powerful universal force — an antidote to war, destruction, and human self-annihilation.
Drawing on this idea, the album explores love not as sentimentality, but as an elemental energy: a force comparable to light, gravity, and power — one capable of healing, connecting, and transforming. In a world shaped by political polarization, violence, and technological acceleration, Love Bomb proposes love as a radical counterforce: limitless, regenerative, and urgently necessary.
Conceived as both a musical and philosophical statement, Love Bomb asks what might happen if humanity learned to treat love not as weakness, but as energy — one capable of restoring meaning, balance, and coexistence for future generations.
ZUCKER
On Zucker, Monika Demmler teams up with German producer LeLeander, inviting listeners on a ten-track journey through an experimental sonic landscape that merges electronica, deep and tech house, EDM, dance, jazz, and psychedelia, infused with a distinct punk attitude.
Zucker was funded by Initiative Musik gGmbH and released on December 15, 2022, with a release event at The Moog, Barcelona, followed by selected live shows in Germany and the United States.
Time is my Currency
The album captures the Zeitgeist as a sonic contemplation of unspoken fears and subconscious dreams. Tracks such as “Zeit ist meine Währung” reflect on the acceleration of time, evoking the image of a spiraling fractal set against an uncertain, inflationary future in “Zeit.” In response, “Future Baby” urges listeners to unblock the future and to search for the flowers in the garbage can — a call to resilience, imagination, and renewal.
Demmler's ethereal, hypnotic vocals cut through monotonous beats like Bowie knives, […] their music calls to mind Ronnie Sethe's DJ sets in Berlin's underground sex dungeons. Warhol would be proud.
— Sound of Life/Zani
From the intricate and futuristic sounds of ‘Goose Bumps’ to the breakbeat-infused ‘Future Baby’, ‘Zucker’ is unapologetically different and distinctive.
