St. Monika

- Artist -

St. Monika is the artistic project of Dr. Monika Demmler (PhD), a Los Angeles–based, award-winning composer, multi-instrumentalist, DJ, speaker, and official Grammy voter. A pioneering artist at the intersection of music and research, she channels her academic work on Solfeggio frequencies into immersive musical artworks, blending genres in bold and captivating ways.

Her work has been recognized with two REMI Awards and a Global Music Award. Recent releases include Zucker (2022), an avant-garde techno / deep-house collaboration with Holzkopfkinder, and Princess, a feline-fueled fusion of krautrock, shoegaze, and punk.

She is currently working on her third album, Love Bomb, conceived as an antidote to the prevailing global political and social climate.

[…] shifting in gear from loud and punky to ethereal and dreamlike is a range that’s hard to pull off with such success.

A force to be reckoned with: Her Mazzy-starish vocals switching between English and German as smoothly as her music transcends genres.
